Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the learning outcomes of students in the natural sciences subject on the solar system through the role playing model in class VI SDN 11/X Nipah Panjang for the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is a class action research (CAR). The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 10 students in class VI at SDN 11/X Nipah Panjang. The data analysis technique used consists of three components, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. Test the validity of the data in this study using data triangulation and model triangulation. The results of the research that has been carried out can show that the application of role playing models can improve learning outcomes about the solar system in class VI students at SDN 11/X Nipah Panjang. The increase in learning outcomes is evidenced by the increase in the learning evaluation value of the solar system of students in each cycle, namely the average value of students before the action (pre-cycle) of 58.33 with a classical completeness percentage of 37%, cycle I increased to 65.37 with a percentage classical completeness was 56%, and cycle II increased again to 76.48 with a classical completeness percentage of 92%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the role playing model can improve the learning outcomes of the solar system in class VI students at SDN 11/X Nipah Panjang for the 2021/2022 academic year.
